SinuCleanse Neti Pot Review

Does this product really help sinus/allergy sufferers breathe easier?
Hi, my name is Dale.
Yep, that's me with the neti pot.
Let me tell you how this
little neti pot changed my life!
Anyone with sinus problems knows what a real pain they can be (pun intended). Drainage, pressure, headache, stopped up nose, and the occasional vomiting episode can really hinder your daily activities. I have suffered with nasty sinus problems for most of my life. It seems to be even worse during the winter months. I really hate taking medicine and tried most everything else I could think of, but nothing ever helped for long. That is until I tried SinuCleanse!
Ahhhhh, sweet relief!
I have to give credit where credit is due! That's my mom to the right. After I woke up one morning with serious sinus drainage and vomited red kool-aid onto the bedroom carpet, she got me the SinuCleanse neti pot system. Sure I was skeptical at first that pouring salt water through my nostrils would help. But I figured it couldn't hurt.
I performed my first nasal washing that morning and again that night about an hour before I went to bed. When I woke up the next morning, I could breathe! No nasty drainage or congestion! I almost didn't know how to act after so many mornings of blowing and coughing and gagging on sinus drainage. My mom was so pleased and proud of herself.
What is nasal washing?
Nasal washing (also known as nasal irrigation or jala neti) is a personal hygiene practice that involves flooding the nasal cavity with warm saline solution (salt water). This soothing action removes excess mucus and moisturizes the nasal cavity.
Reality Check
But I gotta fess up, I used SinuCleanse for a couple of days and continued to breathe freely. But then I got lazy and stopped using it. I guess I forgot how it was before, the stuffiness, drainage, headaches and coughing. It didn't take me long to remember though, when it all came back. My mom, fount of wisdom that she is, says sometimes we go back to what is familiar, even if it is bad. It's easier than stepping off into the unknown and trying something new. I'm going to incorporate SinuCleanse into my daily routine because I know that it works!
How to Use SinuCleanse
But it will only work if I take action and
- take the neti pot out of the box
- mix the saline solution packet in the neti pot with lukewarm water
- insert the neti pot snugly into one nostril
- tilt my head slightly and pour the solution into my nostril
- the solution will eventually come out of the other nostril (if not, you might want to see a doctor)
- pour a good amount of solution through there
- remove the neti pot and blow both nostrils simultaneously into the sink or tissues to remove solution
- repeat process in other nostril
- do this at least once a day
It takes awhile to develop new habits and make them routine. SinuCleanse improves my quality of life so is worth the effort. This product naturally relieves:
- allergies
- nasal congestion
- sinus infections
- dry air
- postnasal drip
- rhinitis of pregnancy
It seems that SinuCleanse was created by an ENT, Dr. Diane Heatly, in 1997 and was demonstrated by Dr. Oz on the Oprah show in 2007. But maybe, like me, you've been too consumed by video games (my mom's words) and are just finding out about this awesome product. I hope my review will help you decide to buy a neti pot or a squeeze bottle and give it a try!
